Sexual Minority is a term used to describe sexual orientations and practices that are different from mainstream heterosexuality and monogamy. These include, but are not limited to: Homosexuality, Bisexuality, Lesbianism, Celibacy, BDSM, Kink, Fetish, Leathersex, and forms of Consensual Non-Monogamy such as Polyamory, Swinging, "Hot-wife", and Open Relationships. Other forms of fetishistic or non-mainstream sexual practice or identity would be included as well.  

The term could also be used to include individuals who are Transgendered as opposed to Cisgendered, as well as those individuals who do not have a common gender identity. This would also include individuals who identify as Gender-fluid, Genderqueer, Neuter or Asexual, or Third-Spirited. It could include individuals with a variety of Intersex conditions if the client wished to.
